Uploading files

Upload files to your hosting via the Plesk file manager or an FTP client.

Method 1: Plesk File Manager

The fastest way for small uploads directly from your browser:

1. Go to Files in the navigation menu.

2. Navigate to the httpdocs folder (this is your domain's web root).

3. Click Upload and select your files.

Method 2: FTP client (FileZilla)

For larger uploads or regular file management, use an FTP client:

1. Download and install FileZilla.

2. Enter the connection details:

   Host: yourdomain.com

   Username: your Plesk system user

   Password: your system user password

   Port: 21 (FTP) or 22 (SFTP)

3. Click Connect.

4. Upload files to the httpdocs folder.

Creating extra FTP accounts

Working with a developer? Create a separate FTP account:

1. Go to Websites & Domains → choose your domain.

2. Click FTP → Add FTP Account.

3. Enter a name, home directory and password.

4. Click OK.

Your FTP login details are the same as your Plesk system user by default. Change the password via Changing your password.
